Ladies and Gentlemen, Eagles UP is proud to lend our support and spread the word about the 1st Annual LCPL Travis Layfield Memorial Golf Tournament to be held on Friday, April 2, 2010 at the Coyote Creek Golf Club in Morgan Hill, California. Please help us honor the memory of our dear friend Diane's cherished son and proud Marine Travis. Diane speaks beautifully of her son in this video.
If you're a golfer, print the flyer and put it up in your clubhouse, perhaps have your club sponsor a tee flag or ball or have your fellow golfers pool together to send something along. No matter where you are geographically, there are ways you can contribute and be a part of this important occasion. Attached you will find all the information needed to help make this wonderful event a success. Please consider a contribution, any amount is gratefully appreciated. Also at this time, pre-orders are being taken for the California Gold Star Families Calendar. Remember please that this a fund raiser for Project Gold Star. And as a reminder - the Calendar will have only the names of the Fallen that we have permission to use. The names will be entered on the day they fell. So far we have at least 25 names (after just two days) and will wait until March 1st to place the order. Any and all Gold Star Families can submit their Fallen Hero's name for inclusion - they do NOT have to purchase a calender. (In the event we've missed a Gold Star Family, feel free to pass on this email to them and have them contact Doug Lyvere directly at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). And please pass this email on to everyone you know. If you want your own calender as a remembrance, or to use, or to give as a gift, or to donate to the GS Families - they are $25.00. ALL proceeds go to Project Gold Star. Send a check or money order made out to "Some Gave All" and mail to Some Gave All, PO Box 1215, Discovery Bay, CA 94505. Write on the check - "calender" - and be clear on what you want (how many, mailed to what address, donated, etc). Thank you all in advance for helping us make both of these efforts huge successes!! |
